Tweet Pencil Holder

I'm feeling spring fever big time right now. In the process of decorating the house for spring as well. Last night I was cleaning up some craft supplies and this idea came into my head.

I took a old clean jar and started to hot glue popsicle sticks around it. Then I took some twine and wrapped the top and the bottom of it. Then I got stuck, didn't know what to do. Originally I was going to make a vase, but it didn't look like it would work. Then, I thought "pencils"!

I went to the super wonderful Graphics Fairy website and printed off the cute little bird with the flowers. I thought that with the twine it would look cute, kinda "nesty" (yeah, I know that isn't a word). I Mod Podged the picture to the jar, and it looked cute but still kinda boring.

Rubbed the sticks with some paste brown shoe polish, much better now! I stuck some of the kids pencils in there, and I think it makes a pretty cute little pencil cup for spring. Had everything on hand, didn't cost me a penny!
