Two note pads with two magnets included for $0.25 each. One notepad for $0.10. A set of 8 note cards for $0.10 and four 4 packs of magnets for $0.10.I always go through lots of these types of things, both for list making for myself as well as small gifts for others. I tend to look on Freecycle and Craigslist for free items and whenever I go and pick something up I leave a small little gift with a note. I appreciate people's generosity and like to give a little something in return.
I got a few cool things on clearance at Joannes yesterday also.

I work at Michaels arts and crafts and am constantly buying the mark downs ~ I NEED TO STOP!! : )

I like the idea of giving thank you notes when you pick stuff up from Freecycle. I've picked up stuff on several occasions - it worked great. I got rid of stuff once and was amazed at how quickly I got requests - but frustrated with how rude the first requester was - and despite my efforts to weed him out and give the stuff to someone nicer he ended up getting the stuff because he was ready to go and what could I say? No?
